Update on Kaibob

We went to our monthly check up with the doctor's office yesterday. Jason came along this time so he could hear the heartbeat. It's still completely fascinating to me when the put the little dobbler to my stomach and the heartbeat starts to sound. Did I say I love being pregnant? Most likely because this child has been SO good to me. The only concern we had was that I was feeling little contractions here and there, but doctor said it was normal. I guess this is what they call the "Braxton Hicks".

As of today, we are 24 weeks along and counting! Kaibob is a little over a pound, and is about 8 1/2 inches long. He is approximately the size of a banana! Next month, we go for our glucose test. Ew and yuck. More to come later!

Next is the Kitchen

As you will notice the wallpaper (UGLY) is coming down.

WE are thinking about a Wine (Vino) Italian theme. Venetian Plaster will take place of the wallpaper.

(Picture not posting will post later)

Ok so the house is getting closer and closer to being done. Tonight I am taking a break to do stat homework. I am on a mission to graduate before my younger sister, of 5 years, gets her masters.

So for those who don't know (and not sure why you wouldn't by now) Susan and I are engaged and having a Kaibob! (For those who don't get the joke don't ask) So with all of the changes going on we have decided to move our bedroom upstairs in the loft area, and turn the spare bedroom upstairs into a nursery. We are painting all of the trim white, creating half walls upstairs (so kaibob doesn't try and be superman from the top floor to the hardwood kitchen, which some day I am sure will happen but hopefully he will be old enough that it was caused by a dare not or something else stupid you do when you think you are invincible. WOW I am getting old to even go through that entire thought process in my head......) and yada yada. so without further delay here are pictures. For those who want to come help finish before the baby shower let me know I will be travling a bunch, and for those who doubt it will be done, well you word isn't worth much anyway. Watch and learn :)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! Yes, we are back by popular demand. Jason & I have some news...We're pregnant!!

Wait...that's old news. Ok, well...

Jason proposed today! It was great and I am so happy. I couldn't ask for a better person to say yes too! Ok, that's enough with the sappy stuff. I'm posting pictures of the ring. Enjoy!!!

Our First Entry!

Bruce, Babara & Arthur visited us in "THE KC" today. It was a beautiful sunny day, we first had lunch at The Webster House, then drove out to Kansas to look for baby furniture. After searching numerous sets, we finally decided on one that Jason & Bruce gave their approval on for it's "masculine features". Thank you Barbara and Arthur for the crib! Thanks Bruce for the dresser! You guys are too good to the kaibob. It's alway so fun hanging out with all of you. I hope to see you soon again before we have the baby. Btw, the theme for the room is Safari, and I'll be sending out the invitations for the baby shower for the ladies, to be held on May 13th at our house. Until then, sweet dreams.
